Wave finally got his 30th Val'anyr fragment. That averages out to approximately a single fragment per week. :gonk:

It's Hammerzeit.

I Choose You, Steelbreaker

Closing off a great week in Ulduar was polishing up our execution of Iron Council, allowing Tams to open up the questline for Algalon with Archivum Data Disc. Everyone needs to turn on QuestHelper so we can find these so-called "Keepers" next week...

Three Lights in the Darkness
10/07/2009 11:05 AM by Soba.

I like identifying with whatever nerdy pop culture reference Blizzard's developers draw from to name achievements. I was trying to peg where the Yogg achievements came from, and I've concluded that it's from a Star Trek: The Next Generation two-part series (Chain of Command) co-starring David Warner. Patrick Stewart as Picard ends up captured and David Warner plays Gul'Madred, a sinister alien whose duty is to torture prisoners of war to extract strategic information. Throughout the interrogation, Madred shines four bright lights in Picard's face and asks, "How many lights do you see?". When Picard answers, "There are four lights," Madred uses a tablet to activate pain devices implanted in Picard's body and responds, "No. There are five lights! How many do you see now?" Picard, of course, endures the torture, but in the uneasy aftermath he admits to believing the illusion; he could indeed see five lights when there were actually four. Great scenes that are only enhanced tenfold by the superb interplay between such fine actors as Stewart and Warner.

Anyway, we're ready to throw some Unbound Fragments of Val'anyr into Yogg's face!
